About

My Story
Today, I'm passionate about health and wellbeing but it wasn't always that way...
A week before my daughter turned one, I had a cardiac arrest at home. I was 'down' for 20 minutes. After 3 weeks in hospital and numerous tests, doctors suspected it was caused by a heart attack, even though I had no family history or typical risk factors like smoking or high blood pressure. I was only 38 at the time, but my arteries were "furred up" like someone much older. To say it was a 'wake-up call', is an understatement...

The recovery was challenging, both physically and mentally, but I'm incredibly lucky to be alive. It made me realise I couldn't leave my health to chance anymore. I avidly researched topics on health and wellbeing, such as nutrition and stress management, to ensure I could be there for my family in the long run. It wasn’t a smooth journey, especially with perimenopause throwing in its own challenges, but I'm now in the best shape of my life.

Going through this ordeal sparked a desire in me to help others avoid similar experiences. That's why I decided to retrain as a health coach—to guide and support individuals on their own journeys to better health and wellbeing.

I know how effective building up small healthy habits can be but I also know how long it takes for them to become second nature and how ‘life’ can easily derail us. I am passionate about supporting women as I know only too well what it feels like to struggle with health challenges and cope with everyday life.
